The time has come! Rather than sitting back and waiting for changes to magically apear, I have decided to be a part of the change. I respect all the previous city council members for having the courage to try and make a difference. I takes a lot of strength for someone to step forward and “make a change”.
I am running for the 2011 Prince Rupert City Council because I too, would like to see Prince Rupert flourish and develop into the city it has the potential to do. I have many qualities that I can bring to the table and a lot of experience in working in team settings. More than anything, I would like the people of Prince Rupert to know that I am a born and raised Kaien Islander. I genuinely appreciate Prince Rupert and all it has to offer, especially the people. I am a real people person and try to set aside time to sit and talk to people about their concerns.
I am coming into this election with no hidden agenda’s and or no affiliations. However, I do have a strong campaign team and we are working quite diligently each day to fine tune our campaign. I have strong views on certain items such as community programming for families, our high unemployment rate and the high crime rate amongst many other issues. I am deeply affected by the same issues as everyone else. As a potential city councillor, I will promise you that I will do my best and be authentic from start to finish.
I assure you that I am here as an everyday advocate for the community members of Prince Rupert and will take all concerns into account. I believe that no idea is a bad idea. “You can trust in me to help make a change in our little city”. And the last thing I would like to say is that, I am by far not a “YES MAN”. If I feel strongly about something, I assure you that I will speak up on your behalf.
